The GMAT exam consists of four key sections designed to assess students' proficiency in verbal reasoning, integrated reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and analytical writing assessment. This online test can be taken at a designated exam center or from the comfort of your home, lasting a total of 3 hours and 7 minutes with 80 questions. Scores range from 200 to 800.
The Verbal Reasoning section lasts 65 minutes and consists of 36 questions, with a score range of 6 to 51. It evaluates critical reasoning, sentence correction, and reading comprehension, measuring candidates’ verbal skills and their ability to analyze and interpret written material.
This section is 30 minutes long and includes 12 questions, with scores ranging from 1 to 8. Integrated Reasoning assesses candidates’ complex problem-solving abilities through tasks such as graphical interpretation, two-part analysis, table analysis, and multi-source reasoning.
The Analytical Writing Assessment is a 30-minute section that includes one essay question, scored from 0 to 6. Candidates are tasked with analyzing an argument and articulating their understanding through a well-structured response, demonstrating their analytical writing skills.
The Quantitative Reasoning section is 62 minutes long and features 31 questions, with scores ranging from 6 to 51. This portion requires candidates to apply their arithmetic, algebra, and geometry skills to solve problems logically and effectively.
